About the course
Freak Out! Fear Less, Live More is a comprehensive and life-changing course that delves into the core principles of fear and how it affects every aspect of our lives. With a focus on the 4 Motives – Curiosity, Fear, Desire for Material Gain, and Purpose, you will gain valuable insights into understanding the root causes of your fears and how they impact your decision-making.
Learning Path
We cover the 4 Motives (Curiosity, Fear, Desire for Material Gain, and Purpose) – choosing a reason how we can live a life where we fear less and live more.
We cover the two inborn fears that babies have. We then move onto the kinds of fears that can be created in people using an example of a baby in the 1920’s. We cover the common human fears of physical things (e.g., spiders and snakes). We cover how we often react to one (smaller fear) and that puts us in danger of doing something more dangerous. We then switch to cover the human social fears, which may cause of to do even more stupid and dangerous things.
We cover two human needs – Safety/Security and Control. We use the story of a rat in a lab who is fearful of a change in his environment. In order to overcome his fear, he explores and experiments – even though his body if full of stress hormones. From his example, we see that security and control are internal – not external.
Making “life purpose” the habit that drives out the habit of fear.
